Master en MBA on Social Entrepreneurship

The objective of MBA on social Entrepreneurship programme is to develop future business leaders committed to promote social innovation and sustainable enterprises, the management skills and resources of participants seeking to manage a social enterprise in the future, provide practical experience in the creation and management of a social venture capital fund and management of social enterprises and establish a clear understanding of the Social economy (its uniqueness, challenges, successes, …) and natural overlaps with the other sectors.

The MBA on social Entrepreneurship is aimed at graduates or young professionals who wish to pursue a career in a global business context and seek to sharpen their management and entrepreneurship skills. Fluency in English is required; basic knowledge of Spanish highly recommended.

Class Lectures

Case Studies

The case method is an extremely valuable instrument that allows theory and practise to come together for study as a way to mirror the business reality in a nutshell. The case study methodology, situate students in difficult and challenging business situations that they have to effectively resolve. There are no simple solutions, yet it is an excellent instrument for facilitating the exchange of ideas and perspectives, countering and defending different points of view and building up on peer’s ideas.

Forum & Discussion with Leading Business Professionals

EOI offers an extensive program of conference and sessions with prominent business professionals, institutional leaders and outstanding members of the community to discuss and share their experiences in making business in a global environment from the most diverse perspective. Students are highly encouraged to participate in all of the events.

Professional Development Seminars

Small seminar groups geared to strengthen “soft skills” such as leadership, communication, team building, oral presentations, debates, and career planning.

Foreign Language Support

Intensive language support will be provided in order to acquire the basic business proficiency in both English and Spanish.

International Interim (Study Abroad)

Students will participate in two-week international experience where the group will attend classes at our prestigious partner institutions.

Master Final Project

Students will establish as part of their year end project a social venture capital fund at [the start of their MBA]. They will work during their MBA towards identifying suitable social enterprises on which to invest and provide management support to those organisations selected for funding.

EOI will provide part of the seed funding and opportunities to meet investors.
